Over 4th of July weekend, I took my daughter to Michael’s and got her her own crochet stuff. I let her pick two colors of yarn and we got a nice (nicer than mine!) crochet hook that she can use for a long time.
I then sat down with her and taught her how to chain. She really got the hang of it after awhile! She started making a bunch of chain bracelets, which is a great project for her because she gave them to all of her friends and family.
We will soon try to start the single crochet and go from there. If anyone has any tips on teaching kiddos learn to crochet, let me know! I’m excited to have another future crochet nerd in the house. She is already getting excited about yarn like me.
