Crochet this Gorgeously Free and Simple Last Minute Scarf Pattern!

When looking around for wonderful free patterns to share with you today, I came across this simple yet stunning crochet scarf pattern.  If you are a fairly experienced crocheter, you will be able to get one finished before Christmas, and even if you are a novice to crochet, you should have no issues doing so either.

As such, this crochet scarf pattern makes a great last minute gift idea if you are still struggling with what to give that certain someone in your life.

The yellow makes me think of sunshine, lollipops and all that, like the warming rays of the morning sun, however it would look equally good in a darker color, or a darker color with a little glitz to the yarn, or you can pillage your stash and make it stripey or ombre or colorblocked if you would prefer!

You can also bypass the fringe and seam the ends together and make it an infinity scarf or classic cowl.

The scarf’s construction is just a take on the classic V-stitch without the chain 1 between the double crochets.  I love the way it looks in the photo, and am going to try this myself right after I get my daughter’s last minute hat done.

You could also make up a few after Christmas to give to charity, because the need doesn’t stop just because Christmas is over.  People are cold all winter long!

Special thanks to Caron and Yarnspirations for sharing this Free Crochet Scarf Pattern!
